Rachel Pellegreen (Clarinet)
Rachel is from Spotsylvania Virginia and currently resides in Manassas, Va. She is an elementary music teacher with Prince William County Schools. She is a graduate of West Virginia University with Bachelor Degrees in both Music Education (clarinet) and Spanish. Rachel is the daughter of our trumpet player and grew up attending performances and occasionally sitting-in with the band. She is the second progeny to join the band (See Kevin Paxton below). 2022 is Rachel's inaugural season with the LOW'n'BROWS.
Kevin Paxton (Clarinet)
Kevin has been playing with the band since 2015. He studied under original member Bernie Palowich and often "sat-in" with the band as he was growing up. He is the son of our trombone player as well. Kevin pursued music after high school and earned a Bachelor of Music Degree from Virginia Commonwealth University. He currently is the Director of Music at LOW Church.
Lonnie Paxton (Trombone)
Lonnie is a founding member of the LOW'n'BROWS. He is originally from Woodbridge, Virginia and currently resides in Lake of the Woods. He is retired from the Army as a Trombonist with 26 years with the 257th Army Band He currently works as an operating engineer with the Department of Defense. He has been with the LOW'n'BROWS since 1995.
Mike Paquette (Euphonium, Trombone)
Mike is originally from Pawtucket, Rhode Island and now resides in Spotsylvania County. He is currently is working as a government contractor for the Marine Corps. Mike is a charter member of the Fredericksburg Concert Band and has also performed with the Rappahannock Pops Orchestra. He is additionally a member of Band of Americas Few, a veteran Marine musicians organization, and has performed with them at Mardi Gras in New Orleans, the Longs Peak Scottish Irish Highland Festival in Estes Park, Colorado, and the Fortissimo Sunset Ceremony in Ottawa, Ontario.ting the options from the toolbar.
Harold Pellegreen (Trumpet)
Harold is originally from Uniontown, Pennsylvania and currently resides in Spotsylvania County. He was an Army Calibration Technician and currently is a school Principal. He is co-manager of the band, the webmaster, and has been with the LOW'n'BROWS since 1998.
Aaron Sanders (Drums)
Aaron is the newest member of the LOW'n'BROWS, He is originally from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and started playing with the band in 2019. Aaron also plays drums for a local rock and roll band in Fredericksburg and he also plays for the Lake of the Woods Church worship band on Sundays. He is a combat veteran who served in the U.S. Marine Corps for 8 years. Aaron currently resides in Fredericksburg, Virginia.
Gary Schwartz (Trumpet)
Gary is a founding member of the LOW'n'BROWS. He is originally from Buffalo, NY and currently resides in Lake of the Woods. He is a retired communication specialist for a local utility company. He is co-manager of the band and has been with the LOW'n'BROWS since 1995.
Karl Willuhn (Accordion)
Karl is originally from New Jersey and currently resides in Fredericksburg. Karl is a former Navy man and has been playing accordion for over 40 years. You may have seen and heard him playing at the Bavarian Chef.
Frank Yindra (Tuba)
Frank is originally from Mantowoc, Wisonsin and currently resides in Stafford County. He is a retired Electronics Engineer from the Naval Surface Weapons Center. He currently plays with the University of Mary Washington Orchestra. He is the band arranger/librarian and has been with the LOW'n'BROWS since 1997.
